Team,
I hope you all have a great weekend! I apologize for not sending out an email like this the past couple of weeks.
Leadership in Chaos
This article was written by a buddy of mine about a very close friend of mine. Short read but thought you all might like it. Nate and I were in the same Ranger Company in Afghanistan.
Being a more Resilient Leader
A few weeks ago in our team meeting, I thanked everyone for their resilience in the face of our operating environment (bureaucracy, client demands, trying to be a start up in a 130-year-old company, etc). I think this article does a nice job of summarizing some of the key points in resilient leadership, but I really love #3. In tough times there is a tendency to lose sight of how important the relationships are in our organization. We can’t let that tendency happen to us!

Retailers pushing Black Friday deals earlier each year.
It won’t be long before we will be doing our Christmas shopping in September and our back to school shopping in April.
A book that I find fascinating.
The Inevitable: Understanding the 12 Technological Forces That Will Shape Our Future by Kevin Kelly
Kevin Kelly is a pretty impressive thinker on technology. He was a cofounder of Wired Magazine and was its Editor in Chief the first 7 years. This book will have you asking lots of interesting questions.
